Product information
White fine powder of crystallographic structure of rutile, non-toxic, non-flammable and chemically inactive, surface treated with aluminium compounds (in the amount of 3% as Al2O3) and modified with organic compounds of hydrophilic nature.
TYTANPOL® R-001 has very good optical properties (high level of gloss, low level of gloss haze, very good lightening power and opacity), is easily dispersed and durable to weathering conditions.

Application
TYTANPOL® R-001 is a pigment of broad application, particularly recommended for interior water and solvent paints (industrial, for building purposes, decorative, renovation), air drying enamels, stoving paints, paints of high content of solids, paints of “coil coatings” and “can coatings” type, wood paints, powder coatings, road marking paints, and high gloss printing inks.
It is successfully used for pigmenting of plastics (soft PVC, plastisols, polyolefines, unsaturated polyesters, polyester gel coats, vinyl floorings, linoleum, silicone products, polyurethanes and polystyrenes), for manufacturing of pigment concentrates and dyeing of certain synthetic fibres. It is broadly used in the paper industry (pulp, top coats, wallpapers) as well as in the leather industry.
This brand has got the NSF® 14 mark as pigment approved for pipes made of plastic and related materials having direct contact with drinking water.

This pigment can safely be used in food packaging materials (permission from the Polish National Institute of Hygiene: HŻ.726/93).
This grade has certificate No. NA 94 9001 of NATEC Institute, Hamburg, 1994, as pigment that conforms with BGA purity requirements for production of packaging materials for food products.
